Engagement Session Cuyahoga Valley National Park
More and more I love shooting engagements sunrise: there is something special about having the park to yourself. Empty parks, paired with the peaking sun, doesn’t get much better.
It was a dreary day, right on the cusp of fall and winter, making the ambiance perfectly mystical and romantic. Elizabeth and Matt met me for their engagement session at Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Everytime I shoot there it shows me a different side. And, each time, it is magical. With Cuyahoga’s beautiful landscapes and Elizabeth’s beautiful gown (by Rent the Runway), my eyes were singing. We posed by candlelight at a lake, danced under an impeccable arch of trees, and climbed up small cliffs and down into rocky ledges.
Seeing their love made me melt inside. It was so strong, so delicate and so soft, it reminded me of this quote.
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.” – Pablo Neruda
